America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to the promotion of recycling programs in the United States. One day to inform and educate. One day to get our neighbors, friends and community leaders excited about what can be accomplished when we all work together. One day to make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year. Host an event
This year, CAFR is encouraging its members to host an open house at their recycling facility. By inviting local elected officials, such as your state representatives or county commissioners, and the general public to your event, you will give them the opportunity to see firsthand how recycling happens and you’ll have an opportunity to let them know why it’s important. To set up an account and register your America Recycles Day 2011 event go to: http://events.kab.org. After setting up your account, hit the register button and you will be taken to the registration site: http://events.kab.org/events/ard/register/.
Attend an event
Not everyone can take on the commitment required to organize and host an America Recycles Day event. Fortunately, you can still have a huge impact on our success by simply showing up for an event that your community organizers have arranged. Attend an event...
